Default New member coming from CO

Hey all,

My fiance and I will be moving to Maryland this week. I was searching around for some folks who jeep and came across this site. Seems a little more active then the Maryland groups on Wranglerforum and Jeepforum. Hope you dont mind me dropping in!

I own a 97 wrangler with the 4.0, ax-15 transmission. 4" lift and 1.25 body lift. 33s, Rubicon d44 in the rear and stock d30 up front with 4.56 gearing and a savvy tummy tuck and gas tank skid. Metalcloak track bars and control arms, and a few other odds n ends. It'll be a little while before I am ready to hit the trails but look forward to seeing you guys out there.

welcome to the forum. Nice TJ you've got there.

keep an eye on the forum or the Facebook page for our monthly meetings or our wheeling trips. meetings are usually on the 2nd weds of the month, but fluctuate depending on what's going on that month.

one wheeling trip not to miss is our Turkey Run over Veterans day weekend at Rausch Creek. Nov 11-13

Check the link in my signatures for some of the videos of the group over the past few years.

Hope to see you at a meeting soon.

Thanks for the welcome!

The jeep is still in Colorado at the moment, I am headed back down there later to wrap a few things up and will either tow it out here or drive it. We'll see. The stock rubi locker crapped out on me a couple weeks ago and have an ARB on hand waiting to install. I have yet to wheel it really this year and cannot wait to get back on the trail.

Rausch Creek looks awesome, Ill try and make a couple meetings/events so I can tag along. See you all soon

That bottom pic with Rockies in background looks awesome. Beautiful scenery, a little different than what you will find at Rausch.

Yeah, I will definitely miss the Rockies. Rausch Creek looks pretty challenging in some places though, so when I am doing a wheel stand somewhere I am sure I will forget about the Rockies

In other news, got a new master install kit (G2) and picked up an ARB compressor (CKSA12) along with a refill on my CO2 tank. So I will have a busy weekend getting the new locker in and hopefully find the time to get the SSYE installed. I will be on hold for a few days afterwards though while I get my CV driveshaft lengthened.

ARB's are great. Good luck with the install.

Rubi lockers cant handle being engaged while doing 35 mph
I installed a tummy tuck which changed the position of my shifter inside. While out on the first drive, I shifted into 3rd and my thumb hit the rocker switch.

I ordered the G2 kit from 4wheelparts here in Denver, and they ended up sending me thick cut gears for a rubicon axle when I said repeatedly that I am installing an ARB and need normal cut gears. So my weekend was shot when I found out I had the wrong R&P.

Worked on the jb sssye last night and got hung up on installing the snap ring on the new mainshaft. Ill give it another go and should have that wrapped up later this evening. Hoping to be back on the road Saturday.
