Next up is the Summer run. It is sure to be a great time with Steve, John, Patrick, and Danny. AOAA and Rausch in one weekend. Who could ask for more fun?

I'm out this time. Seems like every time I take a step forward I get knocked back 2. Trailer tires south on the way back from the shop tonight.

So looks like I should rename this trip to the Moritz and Kelly run...

anyone else that I'm not aware of planning to attend?

Early summer run / Moritz Baby run #2 trail recap.

this was another great trip.

Friday morning Mike, John and I met in the parking lot of AOAA at 8:30 and were on the trail by 9:15. we headed straight for the black trails aided by the maplets app. if it weren't for the GPS app on my phone we might still be looking for the trails. the app was great, but the signage on trail needs some work.

overall we had a good day without any breakage. lots of green and blue trails for those in the club looking for a milder trip.

loaded back on the trailer I noticed transmission fluid on the trailer. didn't think too much of it, but added fluid to the trans just to be safe.

That night we ate at O'neils pub and were treated as celebrities upon arrival. the evening concluded with a few beers in the parking lot of Comfort Inn and Dan P showed up!

Day two started off with some rain, which none of us were exactly expecting. other than potentially soggy asses, the rain did little to slow us down. got on the trail by 9 and the rain stopped. hefty garbage bags to the rescue to cover the seats! or body condoms

We ran trail 20, crawl daddy, cemetery, boot hill, shoot the moon, lake Christy hill climbs, walk in the park, CV trail, O, trail 5 hill climb (red line to the left not the slab), yellow jacket, then ran a few trails behind the comp course.

No breakage other than a blown brake line on the back side of shoot the moon on a CJ.

after a full day at Raucsh we went back to comfort inn where we had some time before dinner so I pulled my skid plates to investigate the source of transmission fluid. turns out my engine skid is rubbing the trans pan and a few of the bolts on the pan were loose. simple fix to stop the leak, but now I have to bend my skids back to make some room.

had a nice dinner with Mark at the Red Lion.

damage report on my TJ: roll bar padding took a hard hit on the passenger side as well as the windshield frame. every bit of steel armor needs touchup paint, license plate took a couple shots. but overall the jeep handled everything well.

glad to have gotten out before baby #2 arrives in a couple weeks. next trip will probably be turkey run, on the blue trails with Henry in tow.

Thanks to John, Mike and Dan for coming out!
