Default Rear Bumper / Tire Carrier

The weight of my 35" spare tire on the tailgate is starting to take
its toll - tailgate is rattling (I knew it eventually would). I'm looking
at three options, and would appreciate your recommendations:

1. This one really looks nice, but it is a SmittyBilt (I know their reputation), and it is $1000 http://www.quadratec.com/products/12500_15X0_PG.htm

2. This carrier is half the cost, and distributes the load across the gate.
How well do you think this would work? Which route would you go?

3. This type of arrangement allows the tire carrier to open with the gate.
There are several companies that make something similar. Do you think there
would be rattling, where the tire carrier attaches to the tailgate?
See image 8 of 9. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12050_240X_PG.htm

Any input would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks Much, Ron

I've seen a few people on jeepforum that run the TF HD Carrier that like it. Guess it comes down to if you want to keep the stock plastic bumper or not. Of the three choices, I would go with the first and replace the whole assembly. Northridge4x4.com has a bunch of JK stuff too if you want more options.

Don't know I missed this post earlier.
Option 3 is nice.

There are lots of companys out there that make bumper tire carriers and they are all a little different.
I like quadratec and they are always at the PA Jeep show with good prices on there stuff.
But I also recommend looking other place beside Quadratec for options.

I believe Dave with Olivers Driveshafts had some JK tire carriers in his office down in NC when i was down several months ago. You might ask him.
