Hey everyone. My name is David Drys and I found out about you guys this past Sunday at a class at Sanner's Lake. I have a 2013 bone stock Unlimited but will be moding in the future. Limited off road experience and what I have done is pretty tame. Thanks for letting me join the forum and I look forward to adding to discussions.

I am more of a mud and dirt guy than a rock climber guy. I am done some trails out in George Washington Park in VA, but nothing to extreme. I have never been out with a group that had heavy modded rig with the ability to pull each other out if you get to deep, we were just running around in my jeep and a buddies Ruby with a tow strap. The main use I get now is driving up and down a ski slope every weekend in the winter as part of the support staff for my kids ski team. I would like to go on some of the group runs and get up the some off road parks this spring and summer. I was talking with Tank on Sunday and he was telling me about the run up to PA a couple weeks ago, that is the type of stuff I want to get into. I am in Leonardtown so being local makes it easy.

I hear you about the clean up, but the idea of the front bumper coming back over the top has left me with a cold shiver for big rocks.

I didn't do the 3 gun, I was in the CCW class at the club house. I don't get out to many of the shooting events the club has but need to get involved in that as well.

Welcome to HRC. Don't let the rocks scare you. There are many levels of difficulty rock climbing. The trails go from Mild to Extreme. I used to be a mud bug with my former rig and had a lot of fun. My current rig is a stock Cherokee and seems to handle rock crawling very well. I have a lot of fun crawling, the best part is you don't have much to clean up. Hope to see you on the trails.

Glad to see ya, Dave!

Like I said, we have a full range of rigs in the club, from bone stock all the way through "oh-my-gawd-is-that-even-legal" (T-REX). We're an all breeds club and welcome anyone in who is wanting to wheel and support the sport.

We actively support VA4WDA as the major east coast ORV organization, as well as UNITED 4WD as the National organization; as they have the resources to battle back against the extremists who would see us only allowed to wheel the Walmart parking lot (for a fee).

Lots of experience on tap, lots of spare parts, and a killer network of resources to keep your rig running.

Watch the forum for Christmas party date and location.

Once again, welcome aboard!
